This privacy policy seeks to inform you, with complete transparency, on the data that we collect, the purposes of the processing carried out and on the rights that are granted to you. INSUREM INSURANCE LIMITED respects your right to privacy and is committed to protect your personal data by implementing the appropriate technical and organisational measures. In order to maintain the privacy and integrity of your personal data, we will use a secure hypertext transfer protocol (https address) at the time of collection.
The collection of your personal data

The personal data collected from you are used as part of our contractual and commercial relationship and allow us to meet our legal obligations. As such, we hereby inform you that your data and, where appropriate, those of your minor children, are subject to computerised processing for the following purposes :

  • Signing, managing and executing insurance contracts
  • Executing the legal, regulatory and administrative provisions in force
  • The combat against money laundering and terrorism financing
  • Establishing direct debits or bank transfers
  • Operations pertaining to customer management and marketing
  • Statistical analyses

Our security procedures are reinforced when sensitive data such as health information is processed. With your consent, your personal data may be used to market our products.

Recipients of your personal data

Your data may be sent to insurance intermediaries, and possibly subcontractors, who are involved in the signing, management and execution of the agreement. They are also likely to be processed by our service providers, experts, lawyers, court bailiffs, court officers and ministerial officials, trustees, guardians, investigators, healthcare providers, medical practitioners, and if applicable, any insurance organisations or social security institutions of the parties and the titleholders of the contract. These recipients may be located outside of the European Union. In the event that your personal data is transferred outside of the European Union, INSUREM INSURANCE LIMITED shall implement the appropriate safeguards to ensure the protection of your personal data. The storage period of your personal data

The storage period of your personal data shall align with the duration of the implementation of the purpose. We will store your personal data for a term consistent with the legally established periods. If no agreement is entered into or in the case of commercial marketing, the data may be stored for a period of three years from last contact. The data relating to bank cards may only be stored during the time taken to perform the payment operation. You may request a list of all of the storage periods for processed data at dpo@insurem.eu.

Employee training and awareness

All employees and stakeholders within INSUREM INSURANCE LIMITED receive awareness training on the French Data Protection Act and the European General Data Protection Regulation. They also sign a confidentiality agreement in order to enforce the regulations on personal data protection.

The use of cookies

A “cookie” is a term that refers to all web tracers that are stored and/or read. For example, when viewing a website, reading an email or installing or using software or a mobile app. They improve site features and offer a more valuable online experience to users. They also allow us to better understand your expectations and to offer you more personalised services. When you browse, you may refuse their use by clicking on the banner provided for this purpose. Your consent is valid for a period of 13 months.

Exercising your personal data protection rights

You benefit from the right of access, restriction of processing, portability, rectification, erasure and objection, and to establish instructions on the fate of data after death.

  • Right to access and rectification: you may request access to your personal data and their rectification.
  • Right to erasure: when the storage period of your personal data has expired, you may request their erasure.
  • Right to the restriction of processing: you may temporarily freeze the use of some of your personal data.
  • Right to portability of your data: at any time, you may request a copy of the data that we have collected from you for the performance of your agreement or with your consent, for your personal use or to send them to a third party of your choice.
  • Right to withdraw your consent: you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time, particularly for marketing purposes.
  • Right to objection: when your personal data are not necessary or are no longer needed for our contractual relationship, you may request that they are no longer subject to processing.
  • Right to establish instructions on the fate of the data after death.
